I called Ruger today to check on the status of my Security 9. They said that the tech ran 60 rounds through it and didn't experience the problem of the last round remaining in the magazine with the slide locked open. A semi auto that has the slide locked back will have a loose barrel that is the way it works until the slide goes into battery then the barrel will be tight in the slide with very minimal movement. Today was the first time I got a chance to shoot the Security 9 after the three upgrades. Those were a Senechal trigger, Hogue grip sleeve and stainless steel guide rod with factory weight 17 lb spring. I have, however, run four magazines through and every round hangs up. First, all firearms need cleaned before you do anything with them!
