Hi all, I've been wondering this for awhile, I shoot a Knight MK-85 and was thinking on getting the conversion kit in order to shoot the 209 primer. In my Wolverine LK-II with the 22" barrel, I got some excellent results shooting Sabertooth conicals in 250 grain with 100 grains of Goex 2f. They are much more cost effective then powerbelts and come in a 350 grain also. I have not shot them. I do not have the 209 conversion since I never saw the need to fix something that is not broke.

As far as i know the only difference is the vent liner is not removable in the plug Knight sells. The bare 209 adapter replaces the jacket (FPJ) in the bolt and you load a bare 209 primer into the installed adapter. The adapter is VERY easy to install in the bolt. Then you simply close the bolt when you are ready to fire.Knight rifles are very good muzzle loaders, as for the conversion kit I would just stick with the percussion caps for this rifle. the 209's are not really all that impressive i have a couple of muzzle loaders using 209's and I still like the the percussion caps better.
